Via Soft Rains

Recently Toronto studio Soft Rains announced a release date for their first-person sci-fi adventure and immersive sim, Ambrosia Sky, on November 10 for PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Revealed at IGN Fan Fest: Fall Edition and created in collaboration with Blackbird Interactive, this first act invites players into a world of decay, mystery, and strange beauty.

You will play as Dalia, a field scientist returning to a faming colony on the outer rings of Saturn. The settlement she once called home has been overtaken by hostile fungi that twist the landscape and the people who once lived there.

Act One starts a three-part story that will continue through 2026. Gameplay mixes first-person action with careful exploration and a meditative rhythm.

You left. Now they’re dead. Ambrosia Sky: Act One is an immersive sim about exploring an asteroid colony devastated by a mysterious contamination. Survive and harvest strains of aggressive alien fungi, explore treacherous environments, and find meaning and beauty in so much death.

Key Features:

  • Cleanse the Contamination. Ambrosia Sky’s unique gameplay blends FPS action with meditative cleaning. Cleanse alien fungus with your chemical sprayer, harvest its fruit, and upgrade your gear to survive the spreading crisis.
  • Discover an Alien Ecosystem. Each species of alien fungus has unique behaviors and properties – some explode, others electrify, and some will even hunt you down.
  • Research and Update Your Equipment. Craft new ammo types that mimic the abilities of fungus you encounter. Upgrade your sprayer’s efficiency, create new spray types, or enhance your tether to better navigate and explore the unstable gravity fields of the colony.
  • Navigate Zero-G Environments. Traverse treacherous pockets of unstable gravity throughout the Cluster. Use your tether to grab objects, uncover hidden corners of the colony, and explore environments where unpredictable fluctuations in gravity can change direction and strength at any time.
  • Lay the Dead to Rest. Seek out the tragic victims of the crisis and lay them to rest in poignant scenes that unravel the mystery of what happened and why.

A free demo is available now on Steam with new voice acting, added mission types, and expanded world content. Ambrosia Sky looks ready to deliver something special when it arrives next month, offering the kind of immersive experience that blends science fiction and human vulnerability in equal measure.
