**Ubisoft** has officially revealed the next chapter in its flagship franchise: **Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced**. Launching worldwide on **July 9, 2026**, the game is a full remake of the beloved **Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag**, rebuilt from the ground up for modern platforms.

Developed by **Ubisoft Singapore**, the remake is powered by the latest version of the Anvil engine, bringing major upgrades to visuals, gameplay systems, and storytelling.

## A Classic Rebuilt for a New Generation

Rather than a simple remaster, *Black Flag Resynced* is described as a **faithful remake with expanded features**. Ubisoft is modernizing the experience while preserving what made the original stand out.

Key improvements include:

- Fully rebuilt visuals using the latest Anvil engine
- Parry-driven combat systems
- Improved stealth and parkour
- Deeper and more dynamic naval gameplay
- New narrative content expanding the original story

The goal is clear. Deliver the same pirate fantasy players remember, but with the depth and responsiveness expected from modern action-adventure games.

## Return to the Golden Age of Piracy

Players once again step into the boots of **Edward Kenway**, a rebellious pirate captain navigating both personal ambition and the centuries-old conflict between Assassins and Templars.

Set in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, the story brings players face-to-face with legendary historical figures, including:

- **Blackbeard**
- **Anne Bonny**
- **Calico Jack**

As Edward chases fortune and freedom, the fragile pirate republic faces collapse, raising the stakes far beyond personal gain.

## Music Returns With a Familiar Name

Ubisoft also confirmed that **Woodkid** is returning to the franchise. The GRAMMY-nominated artist will contribute a **reimagined track**, set to be revealed later this year.

Music played a major role in the identity of the original game, and this collaboration signals a strong focus on atmosphere and emotional storytelling once again.

## A Return Worth Watching

Few Assassin’s Creed titles have the legacy of Black Flag. Its mix of naval combat, open-world exploration, and pirate storytelling made it one of the most beloved entries in the series.

With *Black Flag Resynced*, Ubisoft is not just revisiting that success. It is aiming to redefine it for a new era.

On July 9, players will once again take to the seas. The difference this time is that the world has been rebuilt to match the legend.
