Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Adds Third-Person Mode and New Game+ in Free Update December 5
Ubisoft has announced a major free update for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™, introducing two highly-requested features: Third-Person Mode and New Game+, arriving December 5, 2025.
Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store), the update invites players to revisit Pandora from a whole new perspective — and with greater challenges. To celebrate, Frontiers of Pandora is currently up to 70% off for a limited time, depending on platform.
A New Perspective on Pandora
The Third-Person Mode allows players to experience the vibrant world of Pandora from a more cinematic viewpoint at the push of a button. Whether climbing, fighting the RDA, or simply taking in the sweeping landscapes of the Western Frontier, the feature delivers a fresh sense of scale and immersion. Ubisoft has reworked animations, camera behaviour, controls, and audio to ensure the mode feels natural and seamless.
New Game+, New Challenges
For seasoned explorers, New Game+ lets players replay the campaign while retaining their inventory and skills. The mode introduces tougher enemies, a brand-new skill tree, and stronger gear, offering a deeper, more challenging journey through Pandora.

Continuing to Evolve
This update follows post-launch content already added to the game, including two premium story expansions (not available in New Game+):
- The Sky Breaker – Join the great Na’vi games and witness the Zakru migration.
- Secrets of the Spires – Explore a stunning mountainous region tailored to aerial banshee flight.
Since launch, Ubisoft has also rolled out quality-of-life improvements, such as a revamped Hunter’s Guide, an optimized 40 FPS mode, and rebalanced combat.
