Darkest Dungeon II Coming to PlayStation Consoles on July 15th

Red Hook Studios is thrilled to announce the arrival of Darkest Dungeon II, their grim turn-based road trip RPG, on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on July 15th, 2024. Following its successful PC launch in 2023, players can soon embark on a treacherous journey aboard the stagecoach. The base game, the DLC' The Binding Blade,' and the Oblivion bundle (which includes the base game and DLC) will be available as a cross-buy across PlayStation 4 and 5.

In Darkest Dungeon II, players are not just managing the physical well-being of their heroes, but also their mental fortitude as they confront the horrors of the road ahead. This unique gameplay element, coupled with a world on the brink of collapse and battles against inner demons, makes every decision carry weighty consequences, adding an exciting layer to the game.

"We have been very eager to bring Darkest Dungeon II to PlayStation players," said Tyler Sigman, Design Director for Red Hook Studios. "The game feels great with DualSense Controller–we’ve been able to add touches like feeling the heartbeat of a hero on death’s door, or the rumble of the stagecoach’s wheels as it hits a trap. Darkest Dungeon I was fortunate to find a strong community on PlayStation and we hope the same proves true with the sequel."

Alongside the main game, PlayStation players will have access to the DLC "The Binding Blade," which features two playable heroes, The Duelist and The Crusader, and the roaming mini-boss, The Warlord.

Darkest Dungeon II offers a thrilling journey through five campaigns known as "Confessions," each with terrifying bosses and unique mechanics. With a total roster of 14 playable heroes, including the Duelist and the Crusader, players can delve into the extensive metagame progression hub, "The Altar of Hope," and strategically utilize 10 companion pets with different run-defining properties. Optional thematic difficulty modifiers like the Radiant and Infernal Flame items cater to players seeking less or more challenge, adding to the strategic depth of the game.

Pre-orders for Darkest Dungeon II and the Oblivion Bundle are available now, ahead of the game's launch on July 15th, 2024, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
