### Meet the Killer: The Houndmaster and Her Canine Companion

Once a curious and kind-hearted girl, Portia Maye’s life was shattered by the brutal murder of her father on the mysterious Dragon’s Tooth Island. Consumed by a desire for revenge, Portia embraced her darkness, becoming The Houndmaster. Now, she hunts survivors with the aid of her powerful dog, Snug—Dead by Daylight’s first AI-controlled animal companion.

**Snug’s Abilities:**

- **Chase Command**: Sends Snug charging after survivors, dragging them back to The Houndmaster if he catches them.
- **Search Command**: Creates a widening radius called Houndsense, revealing any survivors within range.

With Snug’s tracking and holding abilities, The Houndmaster is a unique addition, forcing players to strategize to evade her relentless pursuit.

### Introducing the Survivor: Taurie Cain

Taurie Cain’s story is filled with mystery and darkness. A member of the Black Talon cabal, a cult dedicated to understanding The Entity, Taurie lost her mother and brother exploring a “Bleed”—a dangerous overlap between our world and The Entity’s Realm. Her heart, touched by darkness, was dedicated to serving The Entity, only to find herself summoned as a Survivor, not a Killer.

**The Influence of Bleeds** Both Taurie and The Houndmaster have been marked by exposure to Bleeds, a phenomenon where The Entity’s Realm overlaps with our world. This eerie connection ties them to *Dead by Daylight*’s lore, as Bleeds have been identified in other iconic locations, such as the Crotus Prenn Asylum, leaving a lasting mark on all who encounter them.
