The Walking Dead Invades Dead by Daylight in a Chilling New Chapter

Behaviour Interactive has unveiled the next thrilling chapter of Dead by Daylight, and it’s a dream (or nightmare) come true for fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Launching July 29, this all-new crossover Chapter brings three of the series’ most iconic survivors—Rick Grimes, Michonne, and Daryl Dixon—into The Fog, along with unique Perks, legendary outfits, and haunting map elements straight from the hit TV series.

Currently live on the Public Test Build (PTB), the Chapter gives players a chance to preview these new survivors and their eerie additions before the full release.

Survivors Who Define Survival

This Chapter introduces two new Survivors, each fully voiced and featuring powerful, team-focused Perks to help players outwit the Killer and survive The Fog.

Rick Grimes: The Relentless Leader

The former sheriff’s deputy, voiced by Andrew Lincoln, enters The Fog after yet another heroic sacrifice to save his community. Rick’s leadership, ingenuity, and ability to persevere under impossible circumstances shine through in his three unique Perks:

• Apocalyptic Ingenuity: Rummage Chests to create a Fragile Pallet from a Broken one, turning destruction into opportunity.
• Come and Get: After unhooking another Survivor, crouch to silence injured and dying Survivors nearby while briefly revealing your position.
• Teamwork: Toughen Up: When another Survivor stuns or blinds the Killer while you’re injured, your traces (grunts, blood, scratch marks) are suppressed for a short time.

Michonne: The Unyielding Warrior

Beside Rick stands the katana-wielding Michonne, fierce and unwavering in her search for him. Her Perks reflect her resilience and combat-honed instincts:

• Conviction: Healing others activates the ability to instantly recover from the Dying State—but you’ll become Broken if you don’t heal fully in time.
• Last Stand: After standing in the Killer’s Terror Radius without being chased, fast-vaulting near the Killer stuns them.
• Teamwork: Throw Down: Successfully stunning the Killer with a pallet grants nearby injured Survivors Endurance and reveals the Killer’s Aura.

Daryl Dixon: The Silent Hunter

While not a full-fledged Survivor, Daryl Dixon—voiced by Norman Reedus—is available through a Legendary Outfit in The Walking Dead Collection. This Outfit reimagines an existing Survivor as Daryl, complete with his crossbow-inspired look and gritty demeanour.

Legendary Looks & Locations

The Walking Dead Collection expands beyond Daryl’s look, offering fans a variety of Outfits and recolors:

• Rick’s Last Day On Earth and Brutal Awakening
• Michonne’s The Next World and What We Become

Additionally, a new Map Tile is introduced when Rick or Michonne are loaded into the Garden of Joy Map, featuring familiar sights from the series like the prison from seasons three and four and the unforgettable “Don’t Open Dead Inside” hospital doors from the pilot episode. This corrupted hybrid of The Walking Dead and Dead by Daylight settings creates an atmosphere both nostalgic and chilling.
