Dead Estate Brings Its Bloody Roguelike Chaos to PS5 and Switch
Dead Estate by Milkbar Lads has officially made the jump to consoles, and if you missed its Steam run, now is a pretty good time to catch up. The horror-themed action roguelike is out now on PS5 and Nintendo Switch, bringing its fast-paced, monster-filled mansion crawl to a new audience.

At its core, Dead Estate is about surviving a cursed house by any means necessary. You will fight your way through cramped rooms, scramble for weapons and items, and try to stay alive long enough to see what is lurking deeper inside the mansion. The close-quarters setup works well here because it keeps every encounter tense, messy, and just a little overwhelming in the best possible way.
The game has already clearly built a strong following on PC. Over the last five years, Dead Estate has sold 300,000 copies on Steam and sits at an Overwhelming Positive rating with more than 6,000 reviews. That is a pretty strong sign that the game has already found its audience, and now console players finally get the full version.

And it is a full one. Dead Estate includes 10 playable characters, each with distinct playstyles and four costumes apiece, plus 150 weapons and 300 items to keep runs feeling different. There are alternate floors, floor variants, blessing and curse modifiers, 20 custom challenge runs, and plenty of secrets to uncover. It is the kind of roguelike that seems built to keep pulling you back in for one more run.
There is also Assignment Anya, a separate survival horror-style prequel playable inside Dead Estate, which adds a nice extra layer to the package. It is a smart bonus for players who want something a little more atmospheric alongside the game’s louder, bloodier action.

What makes this launch feel especially fitting is the game’s origin story. Dead Estate began as a browser game on Newgrounds back in 2020 before getting expanded into the version PC players know today. After years of content updates, it feels like the console release is less of a side step and more of a natural next move.
For players on PS5 and Switch, Dead Estate is basically arriving with a full stack of weapons, characters, and horrors ready to go. If you like your roguelikes fast, nasty, and a little bit unhinged, this one looks very easy to recommend.
