Canada’s premiere TEKKEN tournament is back and more electric than ever. Electric Clash 2025, hosted by Incendium Gaming, officially joined the prestigious TEKKEN World Tour 2025 as a Challenger Event. Despite unexpected setbacks, it delivered a truly unforgettable weekend of fierce competition, community spirit, and next-gen gameplay.

A Sudden Outage, A Stronger Comeback

What started as a sudden and unexpected power outage at Humber College could have derailed the event entirely. But in true fighting game community fashion, Incendium didn’t just recover; they adapted and excelled.

With little time to spare, the team coordinated a venue change to OverActive Media’s facility, safely transported players and attendees, and resumed the tournament with minimal delay. The fact that the event still finished on time was nothing short of incredible, a testament to the professionalism and passion of the team behind the scenes.

“Huge congratulations to the Incendium team for turning a crisis into a triumph. Special thanks to Neil Duffy of Overactive Media for helping out with the venue at Overactive Media. The FGC spirit was in full force.”

TEKKEN 8 Brings the Heat to Canada

As part of the TEKKEN World Tour 2025, Electric Clash wasn’t just another regional; it was a proving ground. Top players clashed in high-stakes matches, battling for precious global points and a shot at TEKKEN glory.

And when the dust settled, RRQ | JDCR Hyung stood tall as the TEKKEN 8 World Tour Challenger Winner of Electric Clash 2025. Known for his precision, composure, and unparalleled reads, JDCR’s championship run reminded everyone why he remains one of the most respected veterans in the scene. This was his 2nd time participating in Electric Clash, where he won the tournament in 2019.

TEKKEN 8 continues to impress on the competitive stage, with players pushing the game’s aggressive mechanics to their limits. Sidesteps, whiff punishes, Rage Arts, and explosive Heat Bursts made every set a nail-biter. The crowd energy was off the charts, roaring after every comeback and hard read.

Whether you were a competitive player, a casual fan, or someone getting their first taste of the FGC, Electric Clash reminded everyone why TEKKEN 8 is one of the most hype fighting games today.

Beyond TEKKEN: Virtua Fighter and Tech Play

Electric Clash 2025 wasn’t just about TEKKEN. The event also hosted Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage matches, bringing out fans of another iconic 3D fighter. It was a rare treat to see both classic and modern fighters sharing the same venue and audience, and the overlap in appreciation was undeniable.

Congratulations to HIMA_FGC for winning the Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. Competition.

The event didn’t just elevate competition; it spotlighted the art, energy, and diversity that define the fighting game scene.
