Hunter’s Moon: A Sovereign Syndicate Adventure Gets Demo now live

Crimson Herring Studios, based in Alberta, is inviting players back to the world of Sovereign Syndicate with Hunter’s Moon: A Sovereign Syndicate Adventure, with the release of their demo on Steam.

If you remember the original’s mix of steampunk and storytelling, this new spinoff dives deeper into that smoky Victorian atmosphere, but now with roguelike deckbuilding and turn-based chaos. There are four agents, each with their own quirks and fighting style, and you will head straight into an investigation of a strange plague twisting the local wildlife into monsters. Every run is meant to feel different. One moment you’re strategizing with tarot cards, and in the next you’re knee-deep in cobblestone alleys fighting off something with too many teeth.

Hunter’s Moon is still unmistakably Sovereign Syndicate... worldbuilding, character-driven stories, and a constant tug between logic, magic, and fate. Whether you play it safe with a careful deck build or throw everything into alchemy, it’s the kind of game that rewards experimentation. And defeat doesn’t sting too bad here; each failed mission still gives you new tools, cards, and relics for your next run.
The demo is live now on Steam, with the full game set to launch in Q4 2025 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. You’ll even catch a few familiar faces (and likely a few new scars) along the way.
You can grab the demo on Steam and catch the announcement trailer here.
