Ok I'll admit, I was a bit distracted by the Blue Jays playing game four of the World Series tonight, but today was still huge for gamers. The latest ID@Xbox Showcase just finished up, with a whole lot of indie game announcements, huge updates, and new gameplay, all shown in partnership with IGN. Whether you love co-op action, amazing narratives, or wild party games, there was something for everyone in this stream, even some things you might not have seen coming. Now let's talk about the highlights.

33 Immortals (Thunder Lotus) If you haven't heard about this game yet, you may be Patrick Star... It's a co-op action roguelike now with new weapons and combat features. Jump into the rebellion and face the Wrath of God!!

Agni: Village of Calamity (Separuh Interactive) A cinematic survival horror game inspired by Indonesian folklore. You will play as an investigator exploring a haunting village.

Darkwood 2 (Ice-Pick Lodge) Another survival horror sequel with new lands and monsters, very timely for the spooky season! It promises to be a fresh story that stands on its own.

DayZ: Badlands Expansion (Bohemia Interactive) Play in a massive hostile desert map with new threats, soon to be arriving on Xbox Series X|S for the first time!

Dome Keeper (Bippinbits) A roguelike mining action game where you get to dig deep and defend your dome against alien waves. Coming out December 9.

Don’t Fret (Scary Kid Studios) A psychological mascot horror themed game starring a sentient guitar trapped in a musical nightmare. You'll never hear it coming...

Egging On (Egobounds) Looks to be a fun platformer where you control a fragile egg climbing skyward. Drops November 6 on Game Pass.

Invincible VS (Quarter Up) This intriguing 3v3 tag fighter game now has new characters, Robot and Monster Girl. Closed alpha will happen some time in November, full release in 2026.

Mouse: P.I. For Hire (Fumi Games) Cartoon-noir first-person shooter with rubber-hose ’30s animation. This one brings all the old Disney and Cuphead nostalgia. Arrives March 2026.

Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf (Wishfully) A puzzle platformer sequel, now with lush worlds and an epic story. This is set to release early 2026 with Game Pass on day one.

Puppergeist (Serenity Forge) A cute rhythmic visual novel game about pet love set in the Doggie Underworld. Arriving sometime 2026.

Routine (Lunar Software) This is a first-person sci-fi horror game with ’80s retro vibes, launching on Game Pass December 4.

TCG Card Shop Simulator (OPNeon Games) Build your trading card shop empire in this simulator game. Coming early 2026.

UnGodly (Azra Games) A dark fantasy RPG game with an Affinity System and VERY cinematic storytelling.

Vampire Survivors: Ante Chamber & Updates (poncle) This game now gets new bullet hell DLC with jokers and fresh multiplayer content dropping today. This is one my husband is super excited about - he already has over 50 hours in the game.

Now, in my opinion, this was a great and dynamic showcase. ID@Xbox has a great mix of creative concepts, polished gameplay, and world-premieres, setting the stage for a pretty nice year ahead for Xbox and independent developers working at the top of their game. Get ready... indie season on Xbox might be just around the corner.
