Toronto-based [Megaglope Studios](https://megaglopestudios.com/?ref=agamingnetwork.com) is bringing its debut title, [***Into the Crypt*,**](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1879270/Into%5Fthe%5FCrypt/?ref=agamingnetwork.com) to Steam on October 29, 2026\. The first-person roguelike deckbuilder sends players through three cursed Depths armed with little more than cards, nerve, and the occasional terrible bargain.

It is a promising twist on a familiar genre. Instead of viewing the battlefield from a detached map or menu, you walk the crypt’s corridors in first person, choose your next door, and face its creatures up close in a hand-painted dark fantasy setting.

[Into the Crypt on SteamImmerse yourself in solo or co-op first-person deckbuilding where cards are your only weapon. Build complex synergies and use cards to physically unlock doors, chests, and interact with the environment while fighting to survive the crypt’s powerful and strange enemies.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/a3/ec/a3eca723-12fa-420a-82c8-9461bd427c84/content/images/icon/favicon-fc5885f0-099e-4ea7-b93d-85fb467f07d6.ico)STEAM![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/a3/ec/a3eca723-12fa-420a-82c8-9461bd427c84/content/images/thumbnail/capsule_616x353-45f03403-5897-4f0f-8c75-9e4aaec5fecd.jpg)](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1879270/Into%5Fthe%5FCrypt/?ref=agamingnetwork.com)

Cards are a standout feature here… Attack cards can be played on locked doors to break them open, and each use wears that card down. Crypt Keys can unlock sealed doors and breakable treasures, adding a resource-management layer to every route you take.

That means your deck has to do more than only deal damage. You need enough offensive cards to survive fights… but burning through them to open paths can leave you dangerously thin when the next elite encounter appears. It is a clever way to make exploration feel like part of the build.

Players can choose one of three heroes, each with more than 100 cards and a different mechanic. One: The Berserker builds Fury through attacks; Two: the Alchemist brews potions mid-combat; and Three: the Druid fights alongside two companions, Sheaf and Gob.

The wider card pool includes more than 450 cards to draft, upgrade, and transform, plus 185 artifacts and 105 potions for rule-bending synergies. Runs branch through battles, elite fights, shops, rest sites, altars, mystery rooms, Crypt Vaults, and bosses, with more than 75 story events offering strange bargains along the way.

*Into the Crypt* also supports two-player online co-op. Partners share one path through the crypt while controlling separate heroes and decks, fighting side by side through every encounter.

For deckbuilder fans, that co-op angle is the real hook. Building a deck around your own hero is one thing... building one that complements a friend’s Fury-stacking Berserker or companion-heavy Druid is another entirely.

Megaglope is skipping over Early Access and launching straight to the full version, with post-launch updates planned afterward. The release includes 135-plus creatures, ten bosses across three Depths, mid-fight boss transformations, Crypt Mastery progression, hidden vaults, more than 70 achievements, and solo and co-op leaderboards.

A free Steam demo is available now for players who want an early look, though the developer notes it does not fully represent the final experience and co-op will arrive with the full release.

*Into the Crypt* launches October 29 on PC via [Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1879270/Into%5Fthe%5FCrypt/?ref=agamingnetwork.com). If you like Slay the Spire-style deckbuilding but want more atmosphere, more movement, and a friend beside you when the crypt gets ugly, this is one to wishlist.
