JOIN US Lets You Build the Apocalypse Cult of Your Dreams
Montreal-based indie studio Wolf Haus Games has revealed its debut project JOIN US during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct. Described as a dark-comedy, story-driven survival game, JOIN US puts players in charge of building and managing their own doomsday cult as they prepare for the end of the world. The game is slated for a 2026 release on PC.
What sets JOIN US apart from other survival games is its satirical edge and flexible design. Players can shape their cult’s belief system, recruit new followers through propaganda, and expand their compound while navigating a narrative that adapts to their decisions. The experience can be played solo or in co-op with up to four players.
The story drops players into rural Bedford County, USA, where they’ll set up a new chapter of their cult under the guidance of “The Leader.” Wolf Haus compares the process to running a fast-food franchise, only here you’re scaling up a compound, fending off hostile outsiders, and arming your cultists with everything from flamethrowers to battle-pigs.
Survival means more than just stockpiling food and supplies. Followers are the game’s most important resource, and growing that community will allow players to expand their territory and challenge rival groups.
Wolf Haus brings over 150 years of combined experience in film, music videos, and AAA game development to its first project. The team cites grindhouse cinema and a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor as key influences for JOIN US.
