Life Is Strange: Reunion Brings Max and Chloe Together Again After 11 Years
Nearly eleven years after Life Is Strange first introduced players to Max Caulfield and Chloe Price, the series is doing something once thought impossible. Today, Square Enix officially announced Life Is Strange: Reunion, a full-length narrative adventure that reunites the franchise’s most iconic duo.
Developed by Deck Nine Games, Life Is Strange: Reunion launches on March 26, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
A Return to Caledon, and a Disaster in the Making
In Life Is Strange: Reunion, players once again step into the shoes of Max Caulfield, now working as a photography teacher at Caledon University. What should have been a quiet return from a weekend away turns into a catastrophe.
Caledon is engulfed in flames. A massive fire tears through the campus, killing Max’s friends, students, and faculty. Max survives only because her long-dormant Rewind power returns, allowing her to escape moments before the destruction.
Jumping back in time through a selfie, Max now has just three days to uncover how the fire began and determine whether the tragedy can be prevented.

Chloe Price Enters the Picture Again
Just as Max begins unravelling the mystery, Chloe Price arrives at Caledon. Her return is a direct consequence of Max’s timeline merging at the end of Life Is Strange: Double Exposure.
Chloe is haunted by memories of a life she never lived. Her grasp on reality is slipping, and she needs Max’s help to piece together the truth. Their reunion is emotional, complicated, and central to the story the game wants to tell.
For the first time in series history, players will play as both Max and Chloe in the same game, switching perspectives as the narrative unfolds.

Two Playable Characters, Two Distinct Playstyles
Life Is Strange: Reunion expands its gameplay by fully embracing its dual protagonists.
- Max Caulfield
Players use Max’s Rewind power to undo and redo decisions, alter conversations, manipulate environments, and solve layered, four-dimensional puzzles. - Chloe Price
Chloe brings her signature edge with the Backtalk ability, sharp instincts, and a willingness to go where Max cannot. Her approach opens new paths, influences suspects, and challenges situations head-on.
Together, their contrasting styles shape how the mystery unfolds and how relationships evolve.

A Final Chapter for Max and Chloe
Deck Nine describes Life Is Strange: Reunion as a culmination of everything the series is known for: grounded, character-driven storytelling, meaningful choices, and emotional consequences. Player decisions once again shape the narrative, leading toward a dramatic and surprising climax.
Most importantly, this story is positioned as a true finale to Max and Chloe’s journey, bringing closure to a saga defined by friendship, love, loss, and the cost of rewriting time.
