The Montréal International Game Summit (MIGS) returns to **Grand Quay in Montréal on November 10–11, 2026**, bringing together developers, publishers, investors and service providers for two days focused on the business of video games.

The event follows a strong year of growth. According to the organizers, MIGS welcomed more than **1,750 attendees in 2025**, up from 1,100 in 2024\. More than 650 companies from 29 countries were represented, with international attendance exceeding 250\. Management-level professionals and senior leaders accounted for 59% of attendees.

Hosted by **La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec** and produced by **XP Gaming**, MIGS connects international companies with North American markets while helping North American businesses find partners overseas. Organizers describe it as Canada’s largest and longest-running B2B video game industry event.

**International Partnerships Drive MIGS Growth**

Cross-border collaboration is a central theme of this year’s summit. For studios seeking publishing support, specialized development expertise or access to new markets, MIGS is positioning Montréal as a meeting point for the global industry.

“MIGS has grown because the industry is looking beyond borders for new opportunities,” says Jean-Jacques Hermans, Executive Director of La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Québec.

“Companies are coming to Montréal from across North America and around the world to find partners, enter new markets and grow their businesses. That international exchange is at the heart of what MIGS has become.”

**EXDEV Hub, Business Meetings and Indie Opportunities**

MIGS 2026 will bring several parts of the game development business onto the same show floor, reflecting the role that external partners, technology providers and investors play in getting games to market.

The **EXDEV Hub** gives external development and co-development companies a dedicated space alongside studios and publishers. The **Business Showfloor** and **Business Lounge** provide areas for meetings and discussions across the industry.

Independent developers will also have opportunities to connect with potential partners through the **Indie Zone** and **Indie Pitch**, which focus on access to publishing, investment and the wider industry.

“Companies are making more deliberate decisions about where they invest their time, capital and resources,” says Jason Lepine, Founder of XP Gaming. “That is driving more collaboration across the industry and creating new opportunities for specialized partners. MIGS puts that entire ecosystem in one place to connect and do business.”

**New PG Connects Stage Focuses on Mobile and AI**

A new addition for 2026 is the **PG Connects Stage presented by Pocket Gamer**, which will dedicate a full day to mobile and artificial intelligence.

The stage expands a program that also covers financing, international growth, studio strategy, publishing, market validation and independent development. Together, these topics address both how companies make games and how they build sustainable businesses around them.

**IO Interactive, Ghost Ship Games and Paralives Join the Program**

The announced sessions include development and business lessons from studios behind several prominent games.

**IO Interactive** will discuss how its global studio strategy shaped *007 First Light*. **Ghost Ship Games** will share lessons from building *Deep Rock Galactic* into a global franchise.

Montréal-based **Studio Paralives** will explore the seven-year development journey behind *Paralives*. According to the event announcement, the game sold more than **1.1 million copies in its first two months**.

Speakers from **Epic Games Store, Behaviour Interactive, Kitfox Games and 11 bit studios** are also part of the announced lineup, with further programming still to come.

MIGS 2026 takes place at Grand Quay in Montréal on November 10–11, with a program built around finding partners, sharing business experience and creating opportunities across the international games industry.
