[Rapturous Studio](https://x.com/BelovedRapture?lang=en&ref=agamingnetwork.com) is back with *Robot Rhapsody*, a cyberpunk JRPG that is already off to a strong start. The [Kickstarter hit its $20,000 USD goal in just 44 hours](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rapturousstudio/robot-rhapsody?ref=agamingnetwork.com), quickly unlocking early stretch goals. It is a solid follow-up moment for the team behind [*Beloved Rapture*](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2017620/Beloved%5FRapture/?ref=agamingnetwork.com), which won Best RPG at the [2026 RPGMaker Awards](https://rpgmakerofficial.com/en/award2026/?ref=agamingnetwork.com).

The story in this game follows Selva, a retired mercenary navigating a fractured world shaped by AI-run “utopias.” Then, as you build a resistance of survivors, the game leans into familiar JRPG structure while tackling timely themes like artificial intelligence, environmental collapse, and creative rebellion.

Combat stays turn-based but adds a twist. You can hack enemy robots mid-fight, recruit them, and upgrade them with salvaged tech, giving battles a bit more flexibility and strategy.

Visually, it leans on hand-painted pixel art with a focus on atmosphere, paired with a returning composer delivering a hybrid rock fusion soundtrack. The current scope points to a 20 to 30 hour main story, plus side content, with Story, Classic, and Expert modes available.
