Remix Rumble Returns: Teamfight Tactics’ Music-Themed Set Makes a Triumphant Comeback

Teamfight Tactics fans, get ready to rock! The beloved music-themed set, Revival: Remix Rumble, has officially returned for a limited-time encore, running from May 14 through July 29 on PC and mobile. This revival brings back the iconic festival lineup of champions and traits from the original Remix Rumble set, including fan favorites like K/DA, Heartsteel, True Damage, Pentakill, DJ Sona, Maestro Jhin, and Jazz Bard. Alongside these familiar faces, the mode introduces fresh twists, making this comeback feel brand new.
Remix Rumble is a music-inspired set that turns the Teamfight Tactics battlefield into a high-energy festival stage. Each trait and champion represents a different musical style or band, creating a unique blend of strategy and style. This revival isn’t just a replay of the past; it’s a reimagining that incorporates modern TFT mechanics to enhance gameplay and player experience.
New Features and Augments to Amp Up the Action
One of the most exciting parts of Revival: Remix Rumble is the introduction of new Augment-special bonuses that remix how champions and traits interact. These Augments are designed to add strategic depth and variety to the game, encouraging players to experiment with new combinations and playstyles. Here are some highlights:
- Rap Queen (K/DA + True Damage): When Akali casts her ability, K/DA and True Damage champions share a portion of each other’s bonuses. Plus, you get an Akali to lead the charge.
- Retro Gamers (Heartsteel + 8-bit): Heartsteel champions gain attack damage for each 8-bit champion on the board. Beat a high score, and you earn bonus hearts multiplied by how many times you’ve beaten it. This Augment also grants an Aphelios and a Garen.
- The Band Is All Here! (Pentakill + Punk): When you have three 3-star Punks, you get a Yorick and Bloodthirster. Punks gain damage amplification for each Pentakill champion fielded, and you also receive a Gnar and Twitch.
- Rave Festival (Disco + EDM): Disco Balls cast the selected EDM champion’s ability at partial effectiveness, with Jax and Nami joining your lineup.
- Mesmerizing Performance (K/DA): K/DA champions gain bonus ability power, and 10 seconds into combat, all enemies and non-K/DA units are forced to dance for two seconds. Lillia and Kai’Sa come with this Augment.
- Party Starters (Crowd Divers): Crowd Divers gain attack speed and leap at 50% health instead of dying. You get two Crowd Divers with this.
- Shield Bash (Sentinels): Sentinels gain bonus armor and magic resistance, and every four seconds their next attack deals magic damage based on their resistance. This Augment grants a Garen.
These Augments add strategic depth and variety, encouraging players to experiment with new combinations and playstyles.
Opening Encounters and Special Guests
Each match begins with an Opening Encounter, a mini event that can shift the tide of battle right from the start. These encounters are designed to add unpredictability and excitement to the game, making every match feel fresh and unique. In this revival, some encounters feature Hacks, the Cyber City set mechanic, adding a fun crossover element. For example:
- Ahri makes Headliner champions appear in your shop as if you were one level higher.
- Akali grants a plus-one bonus to another trait for Headliner champions.
- Zac brings Cyber City’s chaos into Remix Rumble, so watch out!
These encounters add unpredictability and excitement, making every game feel fresh.
Bigger Bags, Better Chances
To help players build their dream teams even when contested, the shared champion pool has been adjusted with increased bag sizes:
- 1-cost champions: 50 copies
- 2-cost champions: 40 copies
- 3-cost champions: 30 copies
- 4-cost champions: 12 copies
- 5-cost champions: 10 copies
This means more availability of key champions, reducing frustration and encouraging bold strategies.
The popular Revival Ladder system is back, letting players unlock ranks and earn free rewards based on their performance and playstyle. For those looking to dive deeper, a new Event Pass is available for 975 RP, offering exclusive Remix Rumble-themed cosmetics and the debut of the Pentakill Siege Minion Little Legend-a must-have for collectors.
Christina Jiang, Senior Product Manager for Teamfight Tactics, sums it up perfectly: “With its innovative soundtrack and artist collaborations, Remix Rumble marked a pivotal moment in TFT’s history and offered players a unique opportunity to create their own symphony of chaos. This revival will debut some fresh additions to the lineup while giving players the same features they know and love.”
Remix Rumble blends music, strategy, and creativity like no other set, making this revival a celebration of what makes TFT special.
