Scott Pilgrim EX Punches Into Toronto With Two New Playable Exes: Lucas Lee & Roxie Richter Join the Fight

15 years after the last adventure, Scott Pilgrim is back, and this time, the League of Evil Exes is fighting with him.
Developer Tribute Games, best known for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge and the upcoming MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, is officially bringing Scott Pilgrim back to video games with Scott Pilgrim EX, a brand-new retro-style brawler launching in early 2026 on PC and consoles.
And in a surprise twist, two of Scott’s former enemies — Lucas Lee and Roxie Richter — are now fully playable heroes.

Two Former Exes, One New Mission: Save Toronto
In the world of Scott Pilgrim, the League of Evil Exes has always been a barrier between Scott and true love. But in Scott Pilgrim EX, the lines between friend and foe are blurrier — and way more fun.

Lucas Lee
Hollywood sellout? Maybe. But in Scott Pilgrim EX, Lucas is all about heavy grapples, professional-grade beatdowns, and skateboard-based warfare. Yes, you can literally hit enemies with your board — and it’s glorious.
Roxie Richter
Half-ninja, full menace. Roxie brings speed, mobility, and sword-slicing chaos to the battlefield. Her smoke bombs, blink-dashes, and blender-like combos make her a high-risk, high-reward fighter for technical players.
Both characters stay true to Bryan Lee O'Malley's original vision, but they’re now rocking that pixel-perfect Tribute Games style with fluid animations and over-the-top personality.

Welcome to Scott Pilgrim’s Weird Toronto
Set across a video game-warped version of Toronto, Scott Pilgrim EX follows a brand-new storyline co-written by Bryan Lee O'Malley himself alongside the Tribute Games team.
When the members of Sex Bob-omb are kidnapped and their instruments stolen, Scott, Ramona, and a few surprising allies must fight their way through vegans, demons, robots, and a whole new set of enemies ruling over different parts of the city.
Key Features:
- 7 total playable fighters, with more reveals to come.
- Side quests, character upgrades, and local multiplayer.
- Environments filled with deep-cut Scott Pilgrim references.
- A new chiptune soundtrack by Anamanaguchi, returning to score another generation of fans.
- Smash enemies using turnips, baseball bats, demonic rods, and... whatever else Toronto throws at you.
A New Era for Scott Pilgrim Games?
It’s been over 15 years since Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game hit consoles, and fans have been eagerly waiting for a true successor. While the re-release in 2021 rekindled love for the series, Scott Pilgrim EX looks to be a completely new chapter — not just a remaster or remake.
It blends the tight co-op combat and environmental chaos of Tribute Games’ signature brawler style with a fresh storyline, brand-new levels, and characters that have never been playable before.
When Is Scott Pilgrim EX Coming Out?
Scott Pilgrim EX is set to release in early 2026 on PC and consoles. While specific platforms haven't been confirmed yet, it's expected to land on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam at minimum.
If you’re a fan of retro brawlers, indie comics, or pixel-perfect beatdowns, this is one to wishlist ASAP.
