Shifty Eye Games Strengthens Advisory Board with Industry Veterans and Secures Funding for Major Project
Shifty Eye Games, an independent game development studio, has made strategic additions to its advisory board with the appointment of Vikas Gupta, Justin Ratushniak, and Bungie founder Alexander Seropian. These moves come as the studio prepares for its most ambitious project yet, a stealth-adventure game based on a world-famous movie franchise. Shifty Eye Games has also received a significant funding boost of $788,500 CAD from the Government of Canada and Canadian Heritage through the Creative Export Canada program, Export-Ready Stream, to distribute, sell, and promote the game in over 180 countries.
Tuncer Deniz, CEO and founder of Shifty Eye Games and ex-Bungie project lead expressed his excitement about the new additions to the advisory board, stating, “Alexander, Justin, and Vikas bring incredible media and entertainment experience to Shifty Eye, and we look forward to leveraging their acumen as we continue to build our upcoming game project.” He also highlighted the importance of the funding received, stating that it will allow the studio to promote the Canadian gaming industry globally, expand its talent pool, and provide necessary support to its team.
Alexander Seropian, known for founding Bungie and co-creating popular games such as Halo and Marathon, shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Shifty Eye Games has embraced that will provide an exciting new avenue to assemble that team, find that spark, and build the best core game experience possible.”
Vikas Gupta, a technology CEO and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience, expressed his honour in advising Shifty Eye Games, noting, “He and Shifty Eye Games have embarked on an exciting journey in bringing a massively beloved franchise to avid gamers across multiple platforms.”
Justin Ratushniak, Managing Partner at Monolith Marketing Agency, joins the board as a trusted marketing advisor. He brings a wealth of experience in developing disruptive strategies and securing funding for clients.
