On Thursday, October 6th, it was a night to remember as Sami and I had the incredible opportunity to be part of an extraordinary event: the launch of Forza Motorsport Present by size? sessions & Xbox Canada. This event was a testament to the power of collaboration, combining the worlds of music, fashion, sneakers, and gaming into one unforgettable evening.
Let's start with size? Established in the UK back in 2000, size? was founded with a singular mission: to provide access to highly coveted products often elusive elsewhere. Over the course of more than two decades, size? has transformed this vision into a thriving reality. Their journey has been marked by curating a diverse and impressive selection of footwear, clothing, and accessories featuring emerging talents and globally renowned brands.
Beyond being a retail powerhouse, size? has become a cultural force in its own right. Their in-store-only experiences, dating back to their debut, have become more significant. They've cultivated vibrant communities wherever they've set up shop, connecting with individuals across the globe. This connection extends to their online platform and brick-and-mortar stores across Europe and North America.
In 2022, size? sessions took a bold step by venturing into the world of music festivals. Their festivals have featured electrifying performances by artists like AJ Tracey, Nines, Knucks, and Miraa May. And now, the launch of Forza Motorsport brought an exciting new dimension to their creative endeavours.
The collaboration between sneakers and Forza Motorsport was nothing short of spectacular. Sneaker materials were ingeniously incorporated into Xbox logos and Xbox Series X covers, creating a visual fusion of two distinct worlds. The artist Alpo even crafted a remarkable car art piece using sneaker materials, a true testament to the power of artistic expression. You can see how they created it here.
Music filled the air as DJ Skratch Bastid and DJ Jayemkayem spun tunes that set the mood for the evening. Attendees were immersed in music and gaming, some even engaging in dance-offs to celebrate the occasion. Meanwhile, others had the thrilling opportunity to test their skills in Forza Motorsport, with a competitive edge added by a race for the fastest lap time.
This event seamlessly blended lifestyle, music, and gaming, breathing new life into racing and interactive entertainment worlds.
