Get ready for the most intense Mortal Kombat 1 competition of the year! Final Kombat is set to take place from June 14-16 in the vibrant city of Toronto, Canada. This event will bring together the best Mortal Kombat 1 Pro Kompetition players worldwide to compete for a total prize pool of $200,000.
Another unique story about this. Toronto Metropolitan University will be hosting the event. This is the first for a major competition to be held in a Canadian University!
The tournament will feature 19 invited Pro Kompetition Global Leaderboard players and one final kontender from the Last Chance Qualifier. These elite players will battle it in Toronto for their share of the prize money and the prestigious title of MK1's first-ever world champion.
Final Kombat will be a thrilling three-day event, with each day offering its unique competition:
- Day 1 (June 14): Last Chance Qualifier - The Last Chance Qualifier is open to all players who want to compete to join the main tournament. Registration for the Last Chance Qualifier is open through June 10th, 2024, with a registration fee of $40. The LCQ will be held at the Sheldon & Tracy Levy Student Learning Centre at 341 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M5B 1S1.
- Day 2 (June 15): Group Stage Kompetition - The Group Stage will feature intense matchups between the top players, seeded based on the global points leaderboard. This tournament stage will occur at Toronto Metropolitan University, 43 Gerrard St E, Toronto, ON M5G 2A7.
- Day 3 (June 16): Final Kombat World Championship Bracket - The final day will see the remaining players compete in the World Championship Bracket, culminating in the Grand Finals to crown the ultimate Mortal Kombat 1 champion.
Spectator badges are available for $30, allowing attendees access to all the action and excitement of Final Kombat. Registrants who require special accommodations may be eligible for a free guest pass by emailing a request to tournaments@rts.gg.
