VALORANT’s Corrode Map Launches June 25 with Strategic Depth and Visual Flair

Riot Games is launching VALORANT’s newest map, Corrode, on June 25, 2025, as part of Season 2025 // Act IV. Corrode is a 5v5 map set in a French castle town transformed into a radianite salt mining facility on the climate-ravaged world of Omega Earth. The map, with its two spike sites and a three-lane layout, is not only strategically designed but also visually stunning. It combines medieval architecture with industrial elements and environmental effects like salt storms, offering a unique and visually rich battlefield that players will be eager to explore.

Corrode will be available immediately in the competitive pool, with a 50% reduction in rank rating (RR) losses for the first two weeks to encourage players to practice without fear of deranking, while wins still grant full RR. From June 25 to June 30, a dedicated Swiftplay queue for Corrode will be available.

Season 2025 // Act IV also introduces the Phaseguard Collection, a skinline inspired by cutting-edge technology and tactical precision. This collection includes weapons like the Vandal, Outlaw, Ghost, Bulldog, and a new melee weapon called the Splitter, all designed to enhance your in-game experience. The new Battlepass features exciting cosmetics such as the 5 Years: Kill All Radiants Card, Bonsai Gun Buddy, and ATLAS // CMD Vandal, offering a range of rewards to suit every player's style.

Corrode combines medieval architecture with industrial elements and environmental effects like salt storms, offering a visually dramatic and strategically rich battlefield that aims to balance utility use and gunplay for a fresh competitive experience.
