VALORANT Turns Up the Volume with Miks, the New Sound‑Powered Controller

Riot Games just dropped the newest VALORANT agent, and this one’s making noise... Literally. Revealed during the grand finals of Masters Santiago, Miks joins the roster as a Croatian Controller fueled by pure sound energy. Equal parts hype‑man and tactician, his kit is built to sync a squad’s rhythm while keeping the battlefield pulsing.

Miks officially hit live servers on March 18 with Season 2026 // Act 2, bringing a gameplay style that blurs the line between musical creativity and in‑game strategy. The reveal cinematic features a BUNT. remix of Zedd’s “Clarity”, turning one of EDM’s most iconic tracks into a full‑blown VALORANT banger. According to Riot’s music team, they designed Miks around his “vibrant sonic identity,” making the remix a natural extension of his personality—energetic, upbeat, and team‑oriented.

In terms of playstyle, Miks is tuned for Controllers who like to lead the pace. Harmonize links him with allies through a shared Combat Stim that refreshes on kills; M‑pulse toggles between Concuss and Heal modes based on the flow of play; Waveform handles smoke control in flexible placements on both PC and console; and his ultimate, Bassquake, unleashes a forward blast of Sonic Radiance that knocks back, slows, and deafens anyone unlucky enough to be in range. He’s crowd control with crowd energy.

According to Riot devs, Miks’ ability sounds were literally built out of music first, then broken down into gameplay effects—making him one of the most audio‑driven agents to date. His personality fits that process: bright, social, and constantly feeding off the energy of those around him.

Miks’ abilities include:

• Harmonize: EQUIP Harmonize. Target an ally and FIRE to activate a Combat Stim on yourself and the ally that refreshes with each kill. ALT-FIRE to grant Combat Stim to yourself.
• M-pulse: EQUIP M-pulse. ALT-FIRE to toggle between Concuss and Healing outputs. FIRE to throw the device. Upon landing, M-pulse sends out sound waves, either Concussing or Healing players.
• Waveform:
  • PC: EQUIP a Map Targeter. FIRE to set locations. ALT-FIRE to spawn Smokes at selected locations.
  • Console: EQUIP a Map Targeter. ALT-FIRE to set locations. FIRE to spawn Smokes at selected locations.
• Bassquake: EQUIP Bassquake. FIRE to build up and unleash Sonic Radiance forward, knocking back, Deafening, and Slowing players.

Season 2026 // Act 2 also rolls out the Blackthorn Collection and a stacked Battlepass featuring skins like the Soulburst Bandit and Dragon Gate Phantom. Between a new agent, new gear, and a remix that’s destined for everyone’s highlight reel, VALORANT is clearly setting the new act to max volume.
