Coming Soon: A Cozy Spellbook Comes to Life as Spirit City Heads to the Magical Library!
Mooncube Games recently announced that it is expanding Spirit City: Lofi Sessions once again, and this time, the cozy life-sim is leaning hard into fantasy!!! Announced July 13, 2026, the upcoming Magical Library DLC introduces a new environment built around spellcasting, study sessions, and the game’s signature brand of low-stakes productivity.

While previous updates of this game focused on natural serenity, the Magical Library shifts the lo-fi vibe toward a more structured, thematic one…a romantasy lover’s dream (aka myself). The DLC will be packed with towering bookshelves, glowing artifacts, and enchanted details that frame the library less as a backdrop and more as a curated experience. It is a clear evolution of Spirit City’s core appeal… building environments that players actually want to spend time in.
Customization continues to be a major focus for Mooncube Games in Spirit City: Lofi Sessions. Players can shape their library to fit their preferred aesthetic, whether that means a quiet reading corner or a more elaborate, arcane study. The expansion also introduces a new wardrobe set, giving players additional ways to visually match the setting, from casual cozy fits to full fantasy-inspired looks.
New Spirits are part of the DLC package as well, with designs that lean further into the game’s playful side. Mantapedia, a manta ray styled as a floating book, is an early cute addition and signals the kind of whimsical creature design players can expect across the update.
Mechanically, the DLC stays close to what Spirit City already does well. New activities like spellcraft, potion brewing, and lore discovery expand the game’s interaction set without disrupting its core loop. These additions are less about challenge and more about reinforcing the game’s role as a companion experience… something you run alongside work, studying, or downtime.
Magical Library DLC follows the Enchanted Garden expansion and continues Mooncube Games’ approach of building Spirit City into a collection of distinct, mood-driven spaces. Each new environment adds variety without overcomplicating the formula, keeping the focus on atmosphere and routine.
There is no release date yet, but more details are expected in the coming months. If Magical Library delivers on its premise, it could be one of the game’s most cohesive updates so far… a setting that fully commits to its theme while doubling down on what makes Spirit City work in the first place.
