Soulframe Preludes 15: Gods & Ghosts Arrives in June With Major Systems Rework
Digital Extremes has shared a new look at Soulframe’s next Preludes update, Gods & Ghosts, set to arrive free this June for players in the ongoing PC closed alpha... and it’s focused heavily on reworking core systems.
Revealed during the latest Devstream, Preludes 15 introduces sweeping changes to crafting and loot, alongside long-requested social features and expanded combat variety. The update is part of the studio’s faster iteration cycle, aimed at getting new mechanics into players’ hands sooner and refining them based on feedback.

Highlights from Soulframe Devstream 15 include:
- Weapons can now drop fully crafted with Tempers, randomized modifiers that make each find distinct... while new Ingots crafted with blacksmith Tuvalkane allow players to refine weapons and re-roll those Tempers.
- Trading and in-game mail are being added, opening up new ways for players to connect and exchange gear across Alca.
- A revamped enemy patrol system introduces new encounter types, additional Siege hazard variables, and new enemies including the Ode'n Caeulam and the Mendicant Reinbreaker.
- Totems are being reworked around the three Virtues... Courage, Spirit, and Grace... offering more meaningful buildcraft through buffs and stat bonuses tied to Rune abilities. These changes arrive alongside new weapons like the colossal axe Veilk, longblade Ilverac, and mace Vrusht-IX.
- A new gameplay trailer will debut during Summer Game Fest on June 5 at 5 p.m. ET via The Game Awards’ livestream channels.
- More reveals are planned for TennoCon 2026, running July 10 to 11, where Soulframe is expected to play a major role.

Soulframe remains in closed alpha through its Preludes program, with players able to sign up for a chance at access or opt in through Founder packs.
With Gods & Ghosts, Digital Extremes is clearly zeroing in on player-driven systems... prioritizing loot identity, build depth, and social features as Soulframe continues to take shape ahead of a wider release.
