Metroid Ravenous Brings Samus Back in a New 2D Adventure
One of the biggest announcements from the show was Metroid Ravenous, a brand-new 2D action adventure coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2.
Nintendo describes the game with a simple but intense setup: “It’s eat or be eaten for Samus Aran.” While the full story details are still being kept quiet, the reveal positions Metroid Ravenous as a major new entry for fans of side-scrolling Metroid action.
Both the standard and special editions of Metroid Ravenous launch on January 28, 2027, with pre-orders opening after the presentation.
Nintendo also confirmed a Metroid Ravenous amiibo lineup. Samus and Chozo Statue figures will launch individually, while a third Samus (Metroid Suit) amiibo will be bundled with the Special Edition, which also includes the game and a steel game case.
Kirby and the World Beyond Announced for Switch 2
Kirby is heading into a new 3D adventure with Kirby and the World Beyond, coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in spring 2027.
The game will let players freely explore expansive 3D landscapes while using Kirby’s Copy Abilities in creative ways. Nintendo did not reveal every detail, but the first look suggests a larger, more open adventure for the pink puffball.

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Revelation is officially coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
The third and final entry in the Final Fantasy VII remake project follows Cloud and his companions as they take to the skies aboard the Highwind in a race to stop Sephiroth, Meteor, and the destruction of the planet.
Final Fantasy VII Revelation launches on April 8, 2027, bringing the climax of the remake trilogy to Nintendo’s newest platform.
Persona 6 and Persona 4 Revival Revealed for Switch 2
Nintendo Switch 2 is getting two major Persona releases.
Persona 6 will bring the series’ familiar mix of daily life, social bonds, turn-based battles, and supernatural storytelling to a brand-new standalone adventure with a fresh cast.
Meanwhile, Persona 4 Revival revisits the mystery of the Midnight Channel with a remake of the beloved classic. Players will strengthen friendships, awaken Personas, investigate bizarre murders, and return to one of the most memorable entries in the series.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Gets a Definitive Edition
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - Definitive Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on February 25, 2027.
This enhanced version includes all Expansion Pass content from the original release, improved visuals, better frame rate, more enemies on screen, and a new ultra-tough Calamity Mode.
Players who already own the Nintendo Switch version will be able to transfer their save data and purchase the digital Nintendo Switch 2 version at a discount.
Pikmin 4 Returns With Dandori Academy
Pikmin 4 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy launches on November 12.
The upgraded version adds new Switch 2 features, including voice commands for Oatchi using the system’s built-in microphone. Players can direct Oatchi and even give the pup some praise.
The biggest addition is Dandori Academy, a new challenge mode built around collecting treasure as quickly as possible across different stages. Exams will be held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with online leaderboards, medals, three difficulty levels, and 72 stages being released over time.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Takes Players to Wuhu Island
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22.
The game includes 12 sports with motion controls, but Nintendo also showed that there is more to do beyond competition. Players can freely explore Wuhu Island, chase dolphins, find hidden hibiscus flowers, and collect Spocco Photos to learn about sightseeing spots.
A new offline Island Crown mode lets players rise through the ranks in each sport, eventually challenging Island Champions and island Legends.
Players can also earn Spocco Points across modes and spend them on customization options for Miis and Sportsmates.
Mario Kart World Gets a Free Update
Mario Kart World is getting a free update later today.
The update adds 10 classic courses from Super Mario Kart as standalone races in VS Race. Courses include Choco Island, Vanilla Lake, Ghost Valley, and more, complete with classic ? Panels that grant items like in the Super NES original.
The update also adds two new Knockout Tour routes, Propeller Rally and Turnip Rally, plus a Spectator Mode for online play with friends and LAN Play.
Star Fox Gets a Free Update, and Star Fox Adventures Joins Nintendo Classics
Star Fox on Nintendo Switch 2 is getting a free update on September 29.
Battle Mode is expanding with support for up to four players on a single Nintendo Switch 2 system. Players can face off locally or team up for online battles.
The update also adds three new stages:
- Katina
- Sector X
- Venom
Nintendo also announced that Star Fox Adventures joins the Nintendo GameCube - Nintendo Classics library later today for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Comes to Switch 2 With New Content
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition launches on December 3.
This edition adds Heroes’ Vault, a new mode where players face waves of enemies and strengthen their party with enhanced abilities or additional allies before battling a powerful final foe.
A new hero named Shimmer is also joining the adventure, bringing rapid-fire combos, powerful strikes, and a foresight ability that lets her see the future.
Players who already own Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on Nintendo Switch will be able to purchase an upgrade pack.
Monster Hunter Wilds Comes to Nintendo Switch 2
Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4.
The Switch 2 version includes all Title Update content, including the Grand Hub, monsters like Mizutsune and Lagiacrus, and the Final Fantasy XIV Online collaboration.
Players can hunt locally through wireless play or join friends online with full cross-platform multiplayer support.
Nintendo also confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, the massive expansion, will come to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Reimagines Lara Croft’s First Adventure
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on February 12, 2027.
The game is a full reimagining of Lara Croft’s original 1996 adventure, rebuilt for a new generation. Players will search for the pieces of the Scion while traveling through Peru, Greece, Egypt, and other dangerous locations filled with traps, predators, and ancient secrets.

Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4 Come to Switch 2
Capcom is bringing three survival horror games to Nintendo Switch 2.
The lineup includes:

Capcom also revealed Mega Man: Dual Override, a new entry in the classic action series.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered Launches September 29
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 29.
This upgraded version includes visual, performance, and gameplay enhancements, along with gyro aiming, Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, and touch screen support.
Players who already own the physical or digital Nintendo Switch version can get the Nintendo Switch 2 version for free via Nintendo eShop.
